My Beautiful Future.
We spent centuries escaping constraint.
Now we have to decide what freedom from it is for.
Every technological revolution gave us more power, production, connection and information. Each conquered one scarcity and created another.
Factories made things abundant and desire valuable. The internet made information abundant and attention scarce. AI is making capability abundant, moving value towards what remains stubbornly human: judgement, trust, meaning and purpose.
This is the beautiful future we built towards. And yet here we are. When possibility is abundant, it is no longer a definition of progress.
The machine can increasingly answer how. We still have to decide what for.
